Although she’s quickly becoming one of the globe’s most prominent music sensations, Rosalía confides that when it comes to her acting debut on the third season of Euphoria, she’s simply focusing on memorizing her lines effectively.

At the Met Gala red carpet on Monday evening, Rosalía shared with Vogue’s live stream hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim that her first experience has been enlightening so far. “This is my first job,” she explained while standing beside designer Olivier Rousteing, who crafted the stunning outfit she wore for fashion’s grand night. “I’m learning, I’m figuring it out.” She added, “Being with these outstanding actors has been incredibly inspiring, and it’s fantastic.

The interview follows close behind the emergence of pictures and clips taken on set, which feature Rosalía adorned with a decorative neck brace and sitting in a green convertible next to the recurring character, Alexa Demie.

Back in February, it was officially announced on HBO’s Instagram that I’d be joining the cast of ‘Euphoria’. I couldn’t contain my excitement! Just like crafting a great melody or penning powerful lyrics, improving as a performer day by day is something that truly thrills me. For years now, this show has been my favorite, and to have the opportunity to work alongside such immensely talented individuals who I admire deeply, and contribute my small grain of sand to bring Sam Levinson’s vision to life, well, it’s nothing short of magical! Can’t wait to share what we’ve got in store for everyone!

On Monday night’s magical event, Rosalía promptly gave credit to Rousteing for the custom-made design. “I’m his mannequin,” she said, donning an all-white sculptural Balmain piece that perfectly fitted her body. According to the brand, it was crafted from glossy, flocked silicone and molded specifically to Rosalía’s figure, with a draped faille skirt added as the final touch. Rousteing shared that he drew inspiration from the “tailored for you” concept to create a design inspired by a mannequin or the genesis of creation.

As a fashion enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be attending the annual grand fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art – the Met Gala! This year’s event is all about celebrating “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the spring fashion exhibition at the Costume Institute. The exhibition takes inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s book, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.”

The theme for this year is “Tailored for you,” giving attendees and stylists a unique opportunity to interpret the dress code in their own creative way. The esteemed co-chairs for this event are Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Anna Wintour from Vogue, and honorary chair LeBron James (who unfortunately had to withdraw at the last minute due to a knee injury). It’s going to be an unforgettable night!
