Justin Baldoni Dropped From WME After Blake Lively Files Complaint Accusing Him of Sexual Harassment

As a seasoned gamer with an eye for Hollywood drama, this Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively saga feels like a level I can’t skip. The allegations are as intense as the final boss battle, and it seems like both parties have their swords drawn ready to fight.

It’s been reported by The Hollywood Reporter that Justin Baldoni is no longer represented by WME, after accusations of sexual harassment were made against him by Blake Lively in a complaint submitted last Friday.

Just hours ago, I’ve learned about the news that my beloved co-star and director from “It Ends With Us” is facing a lawsuit initiated by the talented Emily Blunt herself.

In the submitted document, the actress from “Simple Favor” not only implicated Baldoni and his colleagues at Wayfarer Studios for sexual harassment, but also claimed a supposed plot to damage her professional standing. The lawyer of the star in “Jane the Virgin”, Bryan Freedman, refuted these accusations, labeling them as “shameful” and “serious, yet entirely false.

A vibrant declaration within the document indicates that the situation had deteriorated significantly, prompting a gathering involving Lively, Sony Pictures, Baldoni, Jamey Heath from Wayfarer Studios (the film producers), public relations personnel for the movie, and others to discuss and address certain allegations of unsuitable behavior that occurred on set.

Lively and her team presented requests to Baldoni and his team in order to resume production following the actors’ strike. Among the 30 requests were: “There should be no more scenes featuring female nudity, including the producer’s wife, for Baldoni or his staff”; “Avoid any references to Mr. Baldoni’s or Mr. Heath’s past ‘pornography addiction’ or Lively’s lack of involvement in pornography to either Lively or other crew members”; “There should be no more discussions about genitalia with Baldoni”; and “Improvised kissing scenes should cease.

attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, issued a detailed statement strongly refuting the allegations in the filing. “It’s disgraceful that Ms. Lively and her team would level such grave and undeniably false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and their representatives,” he stated. “This appears to be another desperate tactic to improve her tarnished reputation, which stemmed from her own statements and actions related to the movie campaign; public interviews and media activities that were seen live and unedited, enabling the internet community to form their own opinions.

The statement goes on to say, “These accusations are entirely unfounded, excessively sensationalized, and deliberately malicious, intended to cause harm and perpetuate a story in the press. In anticipation of our film’s marketing campaign, Wayfarer Studios chose to engage a crisis manager beforehand, working alongside their own representative from Jonesworks, who represents Stephanie Jones. This was due to the numerous demands and threats made by Ms. Lively during production, including her threats to not appear on set and to refuse promoting the film, potentially leading to its downfall at release if her conditions weren’t met. Additionally, it was found that Ms. Lively had enlisted her own representative, Leslie Sloan from Vision PR, who also represents Mr. Reynolds, to spread false and fabricated stories in the media even before any promotional activities for the film began. This is why Wayfarer Studios decided to bring on a crisis expert to start strategic planning in case they needed to respond. Despite this, they did not take any proactive measures or retaliate, but only addressed incoming media queries to ensure accurate and fair reporting, while monitoring social media activity.

More to come.
