JW Anderson Designs ‘Queer’ Merch For Close Collaborator Luca Guadagnino

As a fashion enthusiast who’s had the fortune of living through the ’90s and witnessing the birth of the modern queer cinema movement, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of nostalgia upon seeing the JW Anderson x Queer Collection. The blend of Jonathan Anderson’s avant-garde design sensibilities with Luca Guadagnino‘s cinematic masterpieces is nothing short of a dream collaboration for any art and fashion aficionado like myself.

JW Anderson has introduced a unique collection of merchandise, inspired by Luca Guadagnino’s recently released film titled “Queer.” Notably, Jonathan Anderson served as the creative costume designer for both “Queer” and “Challengers,” making him an ideal choice for designing the merchandise for this latest film.

The collection includes a run of bold-colored graphic tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, and accessories printed with Guadagnino’s signature handwritten movie graphics and imagery from the film. Standing out are the high saturation jersey crewnecks in kelly green, tangerine orange and hot pink, each with the text “Queer, Directed by Luca Guadagnino.”

In other areas, a blue sweater displays an image of stars Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey on a beach, while a heather gray hoodie carries the quote “I want to talk to you… without speaking,” from the movie. For those unfamiliar with the film, the subtle reference might be overlooked in the short-sleeve gray t-shirt that sports an intricate centipede charm – a symbol of transformation within the film, as explained by JW Anderson.

To conclude, the Designer of the Year awarded by BFC adds a unique touch to their collection with off-white “Queer” tote bags made from canvas and caps embellished with titles in navy and khaki colors.

You can now pre-order the entire JW Anderson x Queer Collection on the brand’s online store, with shipping scheduled for December 22.
