K-Pop Festival KCON Announces 2025 L.A. Return

In summer 2025, it’s confirmed that KCON, the leading global K-pop festival, will make its comeback in Los Angeles, as reported by CJ ENM on January 23rd.

Starting from May 9-11, the global touring festival known as KCON will commence its 2025 season in Chiba, Japan for KCON Japan. Following this, it’s off to Southern California for KCON L.A., held from Aug. 1-3.

The festival called KCON travels to different cities worldwide and starts its 2025 season in Chiba, Japan as KCON Japan from May 9-11. Later, it moves on to Southern California for KCON L.A., which takes place from Aug. 1-3.

The specific location is still undisclosed, but typically, KCON L.A. occurs at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the day for its activities, and for its evening concerts, it’s held at the Crypto.com Arena.

2025’s K-pop festival anticipates delivering “an expanded content experience with increased interactive opportunities for fans, both physically and digitally,” as stated in a press release. The list of performers will be announced at a later time. Last year’s lineup at KCON L.A. featured NCT 127, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor, TWS, NMIXX, P1Harmony, and additional artists.

In July last year, the largest-scale festival ever staged by CJ ENM took place from the 26th to the 28th. This was significant because for the first time on national TV in prime time, a K-pop performance was broadcast live on The CW. Notably, actress Awkwafina made a special appearance, hosting both independently and alongside members Johnny and Mark from NCT 127.

The inaugural KCON K-pop festival took place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California back in 2012. Since then, the event has grown significantly and is now held in various locations around the world, offering attendees a chance to immerse themselves in all aspects of Korean culture. As stated in an official announcement, this includes Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, United Arab Emirates, France, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to its original location.
