As a die-hard K-pop fan, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I hear about the latest addition to the Prada family – none other than the charismatic and talented Karina from the sensational group, aespa!
As a dedicated aespa fan, I’m thrilled to share that Karina, our beloved leader, has been selected as the newest face for Prada! The esteemed luxury fashion house made the exciting announcement recently.
A 24-year-old woman, labeled by the brand as one of the most gifted female K-pop stars, recently attended the Prada Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan at the start of the year. She has now been appointed alongside other Prada representatives such as Enhypen, Jaehyun from NCT, Sana from Twice, soloist Jeon Somi (formerly of I.O.I), Hunter Schafer, Damson Idris, and Harris Dickinson.
Karina belongs to the four-member band aespa, which is managed by SM Entertainment. This group, recognized for their advanced and complex themes, officially started performing in 2020 and has since risen to prominence among leading international girl groups.
This past summer, Aespa debuted their first studio album titled “Armageddon,” which catapulted them to significant domestic fame. Their pre-release hit “Supernova,” a lively and catchy hyper-pop track, still reigns supreme on Korean music charts even several months following its debut.
Karina and aespa are slated to appear at the Krazy Super Concert in Los Angeles next September. This two-day K-pop event, initially postponed earlier this year, has now confirmed that aespa, along with acts like ZEROBASEONE, Sunmi, CL, among others, will be part of the revised schedule. Notably, aespa is one of only two groups set to perform on both nights of the concert.
The concert has been planned to not only feature a fresh date but also a new venue, shifting from BMO Stadium in Los Angeles to the Long Beach Arena. The first Krazy Super Concert was held in August 2023, and it took place at the UBS Arena in New York City.
