Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai: Hrithik Roshan reveals his sons Hrehaan, Hridhaan weren’t impressed by his guitar playing skills in Pyar ki Kashti Mein song; ‘I obviously was…’

It’s hard to believe that 25 years have passed since Hrithik Roshan captivated audiences with his acting talent. Before hitting the big screen, he worked as a child actor and assistant director. He officially debuted in January 2000 with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, where he displayed his remarkable dancing abilities and even attempted playing the guitar, though he wasn’t proficient at it yet. However, his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan have expressed their lack of admiration for his guitar-playing in Pyar Ki Kashti Mein. Let me share the reason why!

At a gathering marking 25 years of Hrithik Roshan’s career in Bollywood, he spoke with the press and reminisced about filming the Pyar Ki Kashti Mein track from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Interestingly, he was instructed to play the guitar for the song on short notice, a day before shooting began. Being unfamiliar with the musical instrument, he was quite flustered at the time.

Despite spending the entire night mastering the guitar, his efforts proved futile as he couldn’t quite get the hang of it. However, since he could successfully strum the strings in sync with the melody, he assumed he had mastered it. Yet, when his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan watched him play the guitar in a movie years later, they felt let down.

In a recent interview, the actor from The Fighter admitted that since his children are skilled musicians, they swiftly assumed he wasn’t capable after watching him struggle with the instrument because he seemed to be acting instead of actually playing it. It was then that he became aware he was consistently playing incorrect notes and had not succeeded in mastering the piece.

Regarding the upcoming re-release of KNPH, the Bollywood deity expressed apprehension: “I’m terrified that this movie is coming out again. People will go tomorrow after 25 years and think, ‘What were we thinking?'” This was reported by The Indian Express, with the film being not only a comeback for the screen but also marking the debut of actress Ameesha Patel in the musical romantic thriller genre.
