During a chat with Aleena Dissects on YouTube, actress Kalki Koechlin discussed her attendance at Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap’s wedding following their divorce. She revealed that they’ve each found peace and progress in their separate lives.
In her statement, the actress from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara expressed that despite her and the filmmaker parting ways, she finds it difficult to completely sever ties with individuals they both knew socially. She emphasized that her relationship with Anurag was not solely defined by marriage but also extended to those associated with him, particularly within their shared professional circle.
Kalki went on to explain that due to their connection, she has expanded her social circle by around 300-400 individuals. Consequently, she can’t just sever ties with them once the divorce is finalized. Therefore, she chooses to maintain communication with them.
In The Margarita with a Straw, she commented, “Aaliyah is among those individuals who entered my life due to Anurag. It’s amazing how splitting up can lead to meeting such a diverse group of people because of that person.”
She went on to say, “Regardless of the duration without communication following our breakup, boundaries were necessary, but I continued to encounter others, which is normal, I believe.
Following Aaliyah Kashyap’s December wedding to Shane Gregoire after a period of dating, Kalki expressed her well-wishes on social media in a heartfelt message filled with ‘love’, ‘affection’, and ‘passion’. She also shared some stunning pictures from their special day. Aaliyah responded warmly, saying “I love you so much!”.
