Kamala Harris Taps Eminem and Bruce Springsteen for Campaign Events as Election Day Approaches

As a gamer with a penchant for politics and music, I can’t help but feel like I’ve just walked into the ultimate concert of democracy! The 2024 election cycle is shaping up to be a rocking good time, what with the likes of Eminem and Bruce Springsteen joining forces with Kamala Harris.

As the final fortnight of the 2024 election nears, Kamala Harris’ team is recruiting prominent music stars like Eminem and Bruce Springsteen to attract large gatherings at her campaign events by arranging for their performances and appearances at her rallies.

On Tuesday night, it’s planned that award-winning hip-hop artist Eminem will introduce ex-President Barack Obama at a political event for Harris in Detroit, where the musician hails from, according to CNN. Known by his stage name Marshall Mathers, this artist has previously supported Democratic candidates. For instance, in 2020, he allowed Joe Biden to utilize his song “Lose Yourself” in a campaign advertisement that was released just before the election.

On October 24th, I’m thrilled to be part of an exciting event in Atlanta, where I’ll have the privilege of seeing The Boss, aka Bruce Springsteen, perform! Not only that, but he’ll share the stage with Obama as they support Kamala Harris at their first joint rally. This is a historic moment as these two political heavyweights unite, and I can hardly wait for this final push before Election Day!

Obama and Springsteen are set to reunite in Philadelphia on October 28 for another rally supporting Harris’ campaign. These events, named “When We Vote, We Win”, have been announced by the Harris team. According to Rolling Stone, a high-ranking member of Harris’ campaign revealed that additional rallies under this title are expected during the last two weeks before the election. It’s likely these will occur in crucial swing states such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada, the source added.

Springsteen voiced his support for Harris in a video filmed at a diner in his birthplace, Freehold, New Jersey. The footage captures the iconic figure of working-class America pondering over the significant political rift that has emerged in the country during the last ten years.

The renowned songwriter expressed, ‘Things don’t need to stay as they are.’ Kamala Harris and Tim Walz advocate for an inclusive America, one that values all individuals regardless of their social class, religious beliefs, ethnicity, political views, or sexual orientation. Their goal is to foster a robust economy that benefits everyone, not just the privileged few like myself. This is the America I’ve been passionately portraying through my songs for 55 years.

On Saturday, Harris was accompanied by pop artists Usher and Lizzo at different rallies held in Georgia and Michigan.
