As a gaming enthusiast, I’m all hyped up about my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, diving even deeper into the world of entertainment! They’ve just set up their own production company, timed perfectly for Super Bowl LIX. It’s like they’re leveling up in real life!

Foolish Club Studios, our latest project, will create content for both brief and extensive media outlets, encompassing both scripted and unscripted productions. Previously, The Chiefs have dabbled in this field, as demonstrated by the Hallmark Channel movie last year titled Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, and the online claymation short called A Kingdom Christmas Story: Hail Merry.

The Idiotic Guild aims to advance their business endeavors with a focus on boosting the prestige of Chiefs. Although they already have an internal production unit (65 Toss Power Trap Production group) dedicated to football-related content, the Idiotic Guild plans to concentrate more on creating entertainment material that pushes the limits of their current activities.

The title “Foolish Club” honors Lamar Hunt, the creator of the American Football League, by acknowledging the bold and seemingly “foolish” initiative taken by the founding team to challenge the mighty National Football League.

Clark Hunt, chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs, stated that Foolish Club Studios is a heartfelt homage to his father. He explained that his father was always pushing limits and fostering innovative ideas, which are the very values we want this new studio to embody as we broaden our narrative ventures and work towards making the game more approachable for our supporters.

Mark Donovan, our team president, expressed great excitement as they unveil Foolish Club Studios. This new venture, he believes, opens up a world of opportunities for us to delve into incredible tales that embody values like determination, invention, resilience, modesty, fair play, and fan spirit. Lamar’s love for sports storytelling inspired this studio, and we anticipate that it will encapsulate the essence of his vision. We aim to reach people globally through fresh and distinctive connections, transcending the boundaries of fandom.

Naturally, the NFL is venturing into the realm of entertainment as well. In collaboration with David Ellison’s Skydance, they have formed a sports-centric entertainment company known as Skydance Sports.
