Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is preparing for his first appearance in Bollywood. Prior to his entry into the industry, filmmaker Karan Johar has penned a touching message for the budding star. He mentioned that he’s known Ibrahim’s family for four decades and reminisced about working with them on various movie projects. Johar shared his anticipation for the public getting to watch Ibrahim on-screen.
On the 29th of January, 2025, Karan Johar posted some photos of Ibrahim Ali Khan on Instagram. His caption reminisced about his long-standing relationship with Ibrahim’s parents, Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan.
Karan, the filmmaker, reminisced about his first encounter with Amrita, also known as Dingy. This meeting took place when he was only 12 years old. He recounted, “Amrita starred in a movie for Dharma Productions, titled ‘Duniya’, alongside my father. I still recall vividly the elegance, dynamism, and masterful control over the camera that she exhibited.
KJo mentioned that following their initial encounter, they had a delightful Chinese meal and watched a James Bond film. Furthermore, he expressed, “From the very beginning, she made me feel as if I were part of her family. That’s the impact of her grace, something that continues to shine through her and her offspring as well!
Speaking about his initial encounter with Saif, Karan disclosed that it took place in Anand Mahendru’s office. He described the actor from Race as “young, sophisticated, charismatic and effortless…remarkably similar to my first impression of Ibrahim.” Furthermore, he highlighted their lasting friendship, which they have nurtured since then.
Karan Johar’s post ahead of Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut:
Over four decades ago, I first became acquainted with this remarkable family. From collaborating on projects like “Duniya” and the unforgettable “2 States” with Amrita Singh, to working together on “Kal Ho Naa Ho” and “Kurbaan” with Saif Ali Khan, and more recently, “Simmba” with Sara Ali Khan – each experience has been a privilege. I’ve come to know the depth of their hearts and look forward to many more collaborations in the future!
As an ardent admirer, let me share some words from the director of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He passionately declared that filmmaking is deeply ingrained in the DNA of our family. With a sparkle in his eyes, he hinted at a fresh wave of talent on the horizon, a wave I am eagerly anticipating for the world to witness. Lastly, he invited us all to keep our eyes peeled as Ibrahim Ali Khan readies himself to win over viewers’ hearts and screens.
Ibrahim is set to appear in the movie “Sarzameen” and a romantic comedy tentatively named “Naadaniyaan,” produced by Dharma Productions, in his upcoming projects.
