As a devoted follower of Cobra Kai for six long seasons, I must admit that the news about its conclusion has left me with a mix of emotions. On one hand, the anticipation and excitement to witness the grand finale have been building up like a tidal wave. On the other, the thought of parting ways with the characters I’ve grown to love feels like saying goodbye to old friends.
The following article has spoilers for Cobra Kai’s Season 6.
The popular Netflix series “Cobra Kai” is nearing its end, and the leading actors are generating excitement for the upcoming final episodes of this acclaimed martial arts comedy. Daniel LaRusso, portrayed by Ralph Macchio, and Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka, have shared some insights about the series finale, describing it as both “uplifting” and “unexpected”. Give it a thought for a moment.
In the final season of Cobra Kai, there are still some unresolved events we might witness. According to a report by Variety, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka recently discussed the series finale during a panel with showrunners Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg at Sony Pictures. The highly anticipated ending will be available exclusively on Netflix in February 2025, as stated by Macchio.
We seem to be at a point where we need to hit rock bottom before moving forward again, and I’m quite eager for that moment. It feels like we’re setting ourselves up for a classic ’80s movie-style resolution, one that I have a good feeling about. It feels right to bring this chapter to a close, in the style of Cobra Kai… if you know what I mean.
It appears that William “Johnny” Zabka, his series opponent, concurs that the finale will live up to everyone’s high expectations. While some fans may be disheartened that the show is coming to an end, Zabka asserts that this is both the appropriate time and manner to conclude it.
The creators concluded the series in an unanticipated, inspiring, and truthful manner. It was an excellent finale that we’re all grateful for, as it allowed us to fully explore the narrative over the course of six seasons.

The ensuing pandemonium, broadcast live, finds every combatant and mentor locked in a ruthless, no-holds-barred brawl. As Kreese prepares to deliver the finishing blow to Terry Silver, he drops the knife intended for the purpose. In a surprising turn of events, Cobra Kai master Kwon seizes the opportunity to attack the latest addition to the series, Axel. However, Axel swiftly halts the assault in mid-air, causing Kwon to accidentally impale himself on the knife, ultimately succumbing to his wounds amidst stunned onlookers.
During the same discussion, Hurwitz discussed Kwon’s demise and its role in the concluding episodes, stating, “Everything was determined by where our characters currently stand and where we intend to take them as we bring the story to a close.” Additionally, he touched upon how a particularly gruesome scene from the series will resonate in the forthcoming finale.
Our intention was to keep the future events uncertain, which leaves us puzzled. Essentially, this implies: We’ve been accompanying these characters through numerous years, and this competition held significant importance for each one of them in various aspects. But the conclusion came unexpectedly.
With only five episodes remaining, will they manage to piece things together again? Will the competition resume after this incident? And how will these characters respond to the recent events?
