Her journey from waiting all day and night for her introductory shot in Refugee to becoming a household name is truly inspiring. It’s fascinating to see how she handled the uncertainty on set with grace, demonstrating the tenacity that has defined her career.

Kareena Kapoor Khan is a highly gifted actress within the Hindi film industry, having started her career with JP Dutta’s movie “Refugee” in 2000 and going on to feature in notable films such as “Jab We Met,” “Chameli,” “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” “Omkara,” among others. The actress reminisced about her introductory scene during the filming of “Refugee” by sharing that her shot was taken at a quarter to four in the morning after an entire day of waiting on set.

In a fresh chat with Brut India, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about her time on the movie set of JP Dutta’s production titled Refugee. Kareena recollected that she eagerly anticipated the arrival of her debut scene in the 2000 flick.

In this scenario, Bebo spent the entire day anticipating a specific shot, only for it not to materialize. As night fell, they continued waiting, but still no shot came. They began to question if the shot was ever going to happen at all. On their first film, they were similarly filled with uncertainty about what would unfold. Finally, at around 3:45 AM, an assistant director approached Bebo and informed him that his introduction shot was ready.

Later, Kareena reflected on working with director JP Dutta and his unique approach to complimenting actors following a well-executed scene. Unlike most directors, he didn’t verbally acknowledge good performances but instead switched sides to operate the camera. Bebo revealed this interesting anecdote in her conversation.

In reference to filming her initial scene, Kareena remarked that he picked up the camera and commenced walking silently, without uttering a word to the actress.

In a key role were Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in this romantic drama titled Refugee. Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, and Anupam Kher also played significant roles within the movie. Besides directing, JP Dutta was also responsible for writing and producing the film.

In honor of Kareena Kapoor’s illustrious career in Bollywood, a festival named after her, known as the Kareena Kapoor Khan Festival, has been recently announced. For those not familiar, Kareena Kapoor marked 25 years in the Hindi film industry.
