Kareena Kapoor thought people would see her 'differently' if she decided to have a family; reveals how Saif Ali Khan encouraged her

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Kareena Kapoor‘s journey, I find her to be an inspiring figure who embodies the perfect blend of strength, grace, and resilience. Her ability to juggle the roles of wife, mother, and actress with such finesse is truly commendable.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Over the years, I’ve consistently made impactful decisions and built an impressive body of work, much like Kareena Kapoor has done. She’s openly shared her love for her roles as a mother to Taimur and Jeh. Interestingly, her husband, Saif Ali Khan, has been supportive of her decision to balance family life with her acting career – a choice she didn’t want to compromise on anything for.

In the 2021 publication titled “Pregnancy Bible”, Kareena Kapoor openly discussed various aspects of her personal life. She confessed her deep affection for both motherhood and acting, indicating that she had no intention of abandoning either role. Instead, she carefully considered and pondered over her choice to start a family.

She expressed that she assumed others would view her differently, but Saif encouraged her by saying I could handle everything. They’ve both put in a lot of effort to establish a solid base for their relationship. She firmly believes that her children will always have this foundation to lean on. And, ideally, Jeh will be as self-assured as Taimur, thanks to his parents,” she stated.

Beyond this, the 44-year-old actress additionally discussed the guidance that her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, offered her. In an excerpt from her book, she revealed that Tagore recommended she pursue her desires boldly. Echoing her admiration for Tagore as a true inspiration, the actress emphasized how Tagore continued to excel in films despite marriage and children, showcasing great work even after such life milestones.

As a devoted follower, I can share that I drew immense inspiration from my mom, who served as a powerful role model in my life. Interestingly enough, my parents encouraged me to persist with my acting career, even after starting a family.

Thinking about it, why not jump right in? And that’s exactly what I did – finding myself expecting not just one but two babies! Now these two bundles of joy fill my days with their madness, magic, exhaustion, and the occasional reward.” (Kareena continued to write)

Kareena Kapoor tied the knot with Saif Ali Khan on October 16, 2012. Their first child, Taimur, arrived in 2016, and they welcomed Jeh in 2021. On the professional side, you’ll soon see Kareena in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn. The film is set to hit theaters during Diwali 2024.
