As a dedicated fan of Bollywood, I must say I am thrilled to see two highly anticipated movies, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again, slated for release around the same time. However, my heart skips a beat at the thought of these blockbusters potentially clashing at the box office.
Due to numerous films being launched annually in Bollywood, it’s nearly unavoidable for movies to come out on the same day, which can negatively impact both films’ earnings. Interestingly, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again are scheduled for release on Diwali 2024, causing some concerns. This might be why Kartik Aaryan held discussions with Rohit Shetty about potentially shifting the release date of his multi-starrer action film.
Based on information from Times Now, it appears that Kartik Aaryan contacted Rohit Shetty and requested a delay in the release of Singham Again. The reason being, Kartik wants his upcoming horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to hit cinemas on November 1, 2024. He has suggested that Shetty should release Singham Again two weeks later, on November 15, to avoid a box office clash between their movies. This gap would allow for better openings for both films and prevent negative impact on their respective earnings.
It seems that during their phone conversation, Rohit Shetty listened attentively to Kartik’s request and promised to get back to him. The creators of Bigg Boss 3 have officially revealed the release date (November 1) through social media and have also unveiled a poster about it. On the contrary, Rohit has been frequently posting that his movie will be out this Diwali festival.
In a recent interview with Mid-day, director Anees Bazmee expressed similar thoughts about the upcoming clash of their films. He stated that collisions are not beneficial for business, but since the release date for his film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, was set well in advance, there’s little he can do to change it. When asked if he had discussed this issue with Ajay Devgn, Bazmee said, “There’s no need for me to discuss business matters with him. I am just the director, and the decision about the release date of Singham Again lies with the producers.” He acknowledged that they had announced the release date of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 a year in advance, but expressed that there’s not much they can do about it now.
