As a devoted Marvel fan, I can’t help but feel a tad bewildered when I ponder over the sheer magnitude of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It’s only natural for viewers like me to occasionally get lost in its expansive web of characters and stories. But here’s something truly mind-boggling – it seems that even the talented actors who grace our screens as these beloved superheroes are sometimes taken aback by their association with the MCU!

First, there was Gwyneth Paltrow, who momentarily forgot which Marvel movies she graced with her presence. Now we’ve learned that Kat Dennings, an integral part of the franchise, had to be reminded of her involvement during a recent visit to Disneyland! It’s like they’re superheroes in real life too – so busy saving the world (or at least our screens) that they sometimes forget their own roles!

Kat Dennings, undoubtedly, plays the remarkable sidekick Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Making her debut in Thor, she’s graced numerous MCU films and series, both live-action and animated. You might imagine she would have felt a sense of familiarity during a visit to Disneyland Resort, wandering through Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. At Disneyland, I visited the Avengers Campus, and there, folks were waving at me. To be honest, I can’t recall the reason behind it.

In a follow-up repost on Instagram, she asked the question, “am I ok?” and I have to say it is a little wild that Dennings forgot her connection to Marvel while walking through the franchise’s theme park land. Maybe Thor wasn’t out visiting with guests at that particular moment. If he had been, she might have remembered her connection to the franchise. Apparently Dennings didn’t get the Cate Blanchett Disneyland experience.

As a passionate fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s apparent that Darcy Lewis hasn’t graced our screens enough. It’s high time we rectify this situation. To be honest, since her brief live-action stint in Thor: Love and Thunder, she’s only made sporadic appearances, lending her voice to the animated series What If…? instead.

Even though Kat Dennings might not recall her link to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the audience at Disney California Adventure certainly did. As an MCU enthusiast, encountering Darcy Lewis in person must have been quite exciting for them. It’s one thing to stroll around the area and run into Black Widow or Ant-Man. On a good day, you might even spot a rare character. But how often do fans get to see Darcy? That’s quite exceptional!

Truly speaking, I’m quite fond of this concept, and I can’t wait to discover more about it. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is teeming with heroes, some of whom are villains too, and you might encounter any of them strolling around Avengers Campus daily. However, there are numerous minor characters who have a special place in many fans’ hearts that it would be wonderful to see integrated as well.

Currently, the Avengers Campus is undergoing a significant transformation, introducing two fresh attractions to the location. One of these additions promises a tale that spans various dimensions, featuring numerous heroes. Without a doubt, it seems fitting for Darcy Lewis to have a role in this narrative as well.
