Apple TV+ has found the third star of its upcoming limited series Imperfect Women.
Actress Kate Mara is now part of a drama series adapting Araminta Hall’s novel with the same title. In this production, Kate Mara will share screen time with Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington.
Apple’s psychological thriller titled “Imperfect Women” revolves around a crime that leaves indelible marks on a long-standing friendship among three women, portrayed by Moss, Washington, and Mara. The narrative of “Imperfect Women” delves into the intricacies of guilt and retribution, love and deceit, and how our choices can irrevocably reshape our lives. As the investigation unfolds, so does the revelation of how time can subtly alter even the strongest relationships.
Annie Weisman (from the movie “Physical”) is reworking Hall’s novel and serving as executive producer along with Moss and Lindsey McManus from Love & Squalor Pictures, who originally optioned the novel. Additionally, Washington and her partner Pilar Savone are also involved. The series is a joint production between 20th Television and Apple Studios.
In 2014, Mara received a nomination for an Emmy Award due to her performance on Netflix’s “House of Cards.” Additionally, she has appeared on other TV series such as FX’s “A Teacher,” “Pose,” and Hulu’s “Class of ’09.” Moreover, she will soon be seen in the science fiction movie titled “The Astronaut.
