At The White Lotus, everyone is invited, including the acclaimed Oscar-winning actor from ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, Ke Huy Quan. This beloved star made a voiceover appearance in the second episode of the third season, bringing joy to fans worldwide. However, let’s delve deeper into what his character signifies for the series and if we can expect to see him in person. Keep reading to uncover more details, but beware of spoilers if you aren’t fully caught up!
Previously, it was disclosed in the initial episode that Timothy Ratliff, the family’s patriarch portrayed by a visibly anxious Jason Isaacs, found himself in deep trouble with federal authorities due to a questionable investment deal that had soured. Although this incident occurred years prior, it appears that Timmy-boy’s partner, Kenny, is currently facing severe consequences, and it seems he’s dragging Timothy along. In the first episode, there was an anxious phone call from Kenny that went unanswered, but in the second episode, Kenny finally returns Timothy’s call, and it turns out Quan delivers a highly nervous performance, one of his best to date.
What The Heck Is Happening On ‘The White Lotus’ This Season?
The third episode of HBO’s popular black comedy satire about the extravagant rich, “Insecure,” has sparked debate among viewers. Many fans find themselves divided due to the revamped theme song from previous seasons, which had become an iconic part of the show and was often meme-ified for its distinctive “wooo wooo woo woo” trills. Despite the return of beloved characters like Belinda (played by Natasha Rothwell) and Gary (ugh!), as well as a dead body in the premiere, the nostalgia factor hasn’t quite silenced the criticisms.
Absolutely, the story is still unfolding at an early stage in this season, so opinions shared on social media are preliminary and subject to change as events unfold. Our primary focus right now is Belinda and Gary’s situation, but it would be dishonest not to mention that we hope to see Ke Huy Quan make an appearance, even briefly. (Watch out, Belinda!)
Could it be possible that the corpse Zion (Belinda’s son) discovers at the start is actually who he’s talking about? That would certainly catch us off guard, as the show has a knack for surprising us in numerous ways. However, we shouldn’t get too excited: after all, this isn’t the first time creator Mike White has enlisted a well-known friend to make a brief appearance over the phone. Remember, in Season 2, Michael Imperioli’s character, Dominic, spoke to his estranged wife on the phone, and the voice on the other end was none other than Laura Dern.
