As per the CBFC’s official website update on April 9, 2025, the upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2 featuring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan has been rated ‘A (Adult)’. The certified running time is 135 minutes and 6 seconds, which translates to a duration of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 6 seconds.

In Kesari Chapter 2, we witness the uprising that ensued following the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. The preview has garnered much praise from the audience. Akshay Kumar assumes the character of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, while Ananya Panday portrays Dilreet Gill. In the courtroom saga, R. Madhavan takes on the role of Neville Mckinley, and Simon Paisley Day portrays General Reginald Dyer.

In a new take, Kesari Chapter 2: The Hidden Chronicles of Jallianwala Bagh is helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi. This movie is based on the book “The Trial That Rocked the Empire,” penned by authors Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The film production is handled by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari.
