Kevin Feige Teases More Avengers: Doomsday Cast Reveals – Will These Characters Make the Cut?

2026 brings the arrival of “Avengers: Doomsday,” boasting an impressive ensemble. Recently, Marvel Studios unveiled a list of 27 actors destined for this blockbuster film, many hailing from the original X-Men series. Typically, having 27 notable actors in one movie is remarkable, but for Marvel Studios, it’s merely the first shot fired in “Doomsday.” After Robert Downey Jr.’s hint of further additions, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed more castings are on the horizon. Crossing my fingers, I hope two characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be among those yet to be revealed.

Feige divulged this detail in a video shown during the Disney panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The executive mentioned that they will begin filming shortly, which is just around the corner.

I’m currently on the film set for “Avengers: Doomsday.” Last week, you might have heard about some of the cast members who were announced, but there are still a few new additions to the team that haven’t been revealed yet. What makes the Avengers unique is the magical blend of characters that come together on screen. In this movie, we’ve got not only the Avengers, but also the Thunderbolts, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, and even the original X-Men!

It’s worth mentioning that aside from the 27 characters confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, there have been reports of additional characters such as Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter, and Chris Evans (in an unspecified role). However, there are other characters whose involvement remains uncertain, and it’s unclear whether they will be disclosed before or during the movie. I, for one, am hoping that Monica and Maria Rambeau will join the team.

In the final scene of The Marvels, we saw Monica Rambeau awaken in a different part of the Marvel multiverse. Here, her mother is alive and goes by the superhero name Binary. Interestingly, she never had a daughter like Monica. Furthermore, she works alongside Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, and they mentioned Professor X, implying that an X-Men team exists within this universe.

Given that Kelsey Grammer is returning as Beast in Avengers: Doomsday, it seems plausible to me that the X-Men characters in this film originate from a universe where Monica Rambeau took over instead of the original Fox universe. If this is indeed the case, it would feel strange for Monica and Maria not to appear. Since Maria is already part of the X-Men and Monica may join her, there’s no reason to keep them out of the action.

Considering your fondness for Marvel Cinematic Universe’s films and series, you might want to consider purchasing an annual subscription to Disney+ in advance and save more than $30. Instead of paying the monthly fee of $15.99 on its Ad-Free single plan (which amounts to $191.88 a year), you can opt for a one-time payment of only $159.99 for 12 months. Check out this deal!

As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I’ve been pondering that the majority of “Avengers: Doomsday” might unfold in another dimension. If this guesswork holds true, it won’t be until the climax that Monica reaches out to Captain Marvel in the Sacred Timeline, giving her a heads-up about Doctor Doom, paving the way for “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

Regardless of whether this speculation proves correct or not, and regardless of the kind of X-Men we might encounter in “Doomsday,” I’m eagerly anticipating Monica’s return to action and seeing Maria as Binary. Fingers crossed she does better than the Maria who took on the Captain Marvel role in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

I eagerly anticipate the release of “Avengers: Doomsday” on May 1, 2026. Just as “Infinity War” and “Endgame” concluded The Infinity Saga, “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars” will mark the end of The Multiverse Saga. I can only hope that more cast members will join in for this epic two-part series to make it even more spectacular.
