Khakee: The Bengal Chapter: Actor Jeet calls working with Prosenjit Chatterjee ‘dream’; opens up on his Hindi OTT debut

Acclaimed Bengali actor Jeet takes on the role of a stern IPS officer named Arjun Maitra in the upcoming political thriller Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. In a recent conversation, Jeet shared his thoughts on collaborating with Prosenjit Chatterjee on this widely-anticipated web series, describing it as a dream for any actor and also touched upon his anticipated debut on Hindi OTT platforms.

In an interview with Moneycontrol, Jeet shared that collaborating alongside renowned Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee had long been a cherished ambition for him – a goal that any actor would strive to achieve. Reminiscing on their time working together in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Jeet deemed it as one of the most significant milestones in his acting career.

He expressed his deep appreciation for Prosenjit, sharing that working alongside him was a truly remarkable encounter, and furthermore, disclosed that they had both been excitedly anticipating the opportunity to collaborate.

Jeet happily shared his joy of teaming up with Prosenjit, highlighting how wonderful it was to work alongside someone who has such extensive industry experience. He went on to say that acting alongside Prosenjit is an honor any actor would be proud to have. Moreover, Jeet stated that this collaboration not only fulfilled a long-held dream for him but also provided him with invaluable knowledge and insights.

In the sequel to Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee series titled “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter,” actor Jeet portrays the main character, a stern yet righteous Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, demonstrating his remarkable acting talent through this role.

Jeet emphasized that the intriguing intellectual nature of the character Arjun, skillfully created by the writers, was what initially captivated him about the role.

Regarding his first appearance in an OTT production in Hindi, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, actor Jeet expressed pleasure in working across languages, be it Hindi, English, or others.

Considering the expanding impact of Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms, he emphasized that these platforms have opened up novel possibilities for storytellers and upcoming artists. Jeet expressed his optimism towards this transition, viewing it as a constructive development offering a more expansive canvas for creative exploration and emerging voices within the field. The series will be accessible for streaming on Netflix from March 20, 2025.
