Khel Khel Mein: CBFC removes THESE two cuss words from Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu’s movie

As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience in the Bollywood industry, I have seen countless films navigate the intricate waters of censorship and release. The upcoming film, Khel Khel Mein, is no exception, with its recent U/A certification from the CBFC following the removal or muting of two cuss words.

On August 15, 2024, the movie “Khel Khel Mein” starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal will premiere in theaters. To generate excitement, song previews have been shared, and recently, the Central Board of Film Certification has made some edits to exclude two explicit words from the film before awarding it a U/A rating.

As per the cut report by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC’s Examining Committee did not demand any visual edits. Instead, they suggested that two profanities, specifically ‘b*****d’ and ‘son of a b*h’, be muted or silenced in the film. Whether these words were eventually muted, removed, or replaced is uncertain, but it can be confirmed that they will not be heard in their original form by the audience.

Following the necessary changes, the CBFC granted Khel Khel Mein a U/A rating on August 8, 2024. The censor certificate, which clocks the film at 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 7 seconds (134.07 minutes), was handed to the filmmakers.

The trailer hinted at an intriguing plot involving seven friends who gathered for a dinner party with a twist. During the evening, the group decided to play a game where everyone placed their phones on the table and unlocked them.

During those eventful nights, I advocate for a communal phone setting where all incoming messages and calls are accessible to everyone, transforming our devices into temporary ‘community property’. This unusual arrangement led to some fascinating moments as personal secrets and hidden truths surfaced, causing a mix of awkward encounters and hilarious situations, making the experience both thrilling and comically engaging.

Under the collaboration of T-Series, Gulshan Kumar, and Wakaoo Films, the movie “Khel Khel Mein” is a production shared by T-Series Film, Wakaoo Films, and KKM Film. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz, with Bhushan Kumar, Vipul D. Shah, Krishan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Ajay Rai serving as producers.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I’m eagerly anticipating the release of my favorite production house’s latest film, Khel Khel Mein. However, it seems that this time around, there will be some fierce competition at the box office. Not one, but two other highly anticipated Bollywood films are set to release alongside mine – Stree 2, starring the talented trio of Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi, and Vedaa, featuring the charismatic John Abraham and newcomer Sharvari Wagh. This promises an exciting battle at the ticket counters!
