Kid Cudi Taps King Chip for “Don’t Worry”

As a long-time admirer of Kid Cudi and his music, I must say that his latest offering, “Don’t Worry,” is nothing short of a masterpiece. Having lived in New York City myself for over a decade, I can truly appreciate the love letter he penned to the city through this track. The chemistry between him and King Chip is undeniable, and their dance moves throughout the city are pure joy to watch.

Fresh from his stay in New York City during New York Fashion Week, Kid Cudi has just released a song he’s referring to as a tribute to New York. Named “Don’t Worry,” this track (which is currently only available on YouTube) evokes a sense of nostalgia, as Cudi brings in his long-term collaborator and friend King Chip (also known as Chip Tha Ripper) for a contribution.

In a pre-video message, Cudi shares that he relocated to New York in the year 2005, and over time, it transformed into his second residence.

To the folks of New York, let me express a heartfelt message that feels more like a love letter to you. Thank you for consistently welcoming me and making me feel part of your family. My affection for you is boundless, so here’s to your happiness!

In the engaging video directed by Cudi, it’s evident that the friendship between Cudi and Chip hasn’t faded a bit, as they stroll around the city, hopping from rooftop to studio to art gallery – quite literally hopping, incorporating their dance routines at every stop they make.

One of the locations is Cudder’s Members of the Rage archival gallery, with Cudi donning one of the line’s standout varsity jackets and the visual closing out with a compilation of footage from the event.

Even though the song “Don’t Worry” isn’t available on streaming platforms just yet, feel free to enjoy it by watching the video provided above.
