Kids of Immigrants Outfits the Nike Air Max Sunder in Two Vivid Colorways

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for streetwear and a soft spot for stories that resonate deeply, I must say, the Kids of Imigrants x Nike Air Max Sunder “Persian Violet” and “Sundial” have piqued my interest. Having grown up as a child of immigrants myself, I find a deep connection with brands that celebrate diversity and narratives similar to mine.

The Kids of Immigrants, a dynamic brand based in Los Angeles, has experienced rapid growth and diversity. They breathe life into stories through various projects. Previously collaborating with Vans, this label has continued its footwear journey by joining forces with Nike to introduce the Air Max Sunder in two vibrant, vaporwave-inspired color schemes.

At the SNKRS Showcase during Paris Fashion Week, the collaboration between Kids of Immigrants and Nike on the Air Max Sunder was initially unveiled. This well-loved silhouette now includes an upgraded upper where gridlines are spread out. The toe part of the mudguard has been retained, although it lacks the usual geometric pattern, and the design’s signature zipper concealing the lacing system remains as well. “Persian Violet” offers a vibrant purple at the collar, which deepens towards the midsole, while the “Sundial” colorway follows suit but in orange. Both pairs showcase a brown mudguard, black on the heel, and the sole unit, which has a blue finish with black specks at the midfoot. Additional details include “KIDS OF IMMIGRANTS” text on the outsoles of both shoes, a “JUST DO IT. TOGETHER.” message on the co-branded inserts, and a unique box with branding from the duo.

At the moment, neither Kids of Immigrants nor Nike have provided details about the release dates for their upcoming collaboration on the Air Max Sunder in two colorways – “Persian Violet” and “Sundial”. Keep an eye out for announcements as we anticipate these designs to be released on November 21. They will reportedly be available through Nike SNKRS and selected retailers, starting at $190 USD.
