Kiefer Sutherland, Rebel Wilson Board Festive Sky Movie ‘Tinsel Town,’ Set for Christmas Release

Actors Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson are set to feature in a fresh, festive comedy titled “Tinsel Town” which hails from Sky and Future Artists Entertainment (FAE).

Currently being filmed on-site in the northern regions of England, the film chronicles Bradley Mack (Sutherland), a swaggering Hollywood action hero, who is taken aback when his cherished action series is suddenly terminated. Fearful that his days in Tinseltown might be numbered, he decides to relocate to England, seeking to rebrand himself as a respected stage actor in the West End.

However, instead of sending Bradley to his desired role, his patient agent has different ideas and arranges for him to go to a quaint, snow-covered village to act in their peculiar adaptation of Cinderella. During the rehearsals with a vibrant group of eccentric locals, Sutherland’s character finds a glimmer of fresh opportunities in the form of the tough-minded choreographer Jill (Wilson).

Sutherland, who’s known for his roles in ‘Designated Survivor’ and ’24’, expressed his excitement about returning to work in the U.K. and collaborating with director Chris Foggin. He finds the cast exceptional and is eager to bring this story to life.

The script for this production is written by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth, with additional content by Jake Brunger. It will be directed by Chris Foggin, known for “Bank of Dave.” Matt Williams and Pascal Degove at FAE are the producers, while Julia Stuart, Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, and Martin Owen serve as executive producers.

Stuart, the head of original films at Sky, expressed: “We’re absolutely thrilled about our upcoming heartwarming and delightful comedy! We can hardly wait for it to premiere on Sky Cinema this Christmas. It’s full of joy, holiday spirit, and laughter, and we believe there will be something for everyone to appreciate.

Tinsel Town will be coming to Sky Cinema this Christmas.
