King of the Hill Voice Actor Shot Dead During Argument with Neighbor

In the whirlwind of excitement building around Hulu’s reboot of “King of the Hill,” I find myself compelled to share a somber piece of news. One of the show’s esteemed voice actors, Jonathan Joss, tragically lost his life following an alleged altercation in San Antonio, Texas. Aged 59, he brought the Native American character John Redcorn to vibrant life in the animated comedy we all love. This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the human side behind our beloved cartoons.

On a chilly Sunday night, as I huddled up with my favorite movie classics, little did I know that real-life drama was unfolding just a few blocks away. From the accounts I’ve gathered, an altercation of high tension erupted between a celebrated actor and a neighbor, at a residence nestled on the city’s south side. The neighbor, later unmasked as Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega, is said to have escalated the situation gravely by brandishing a firearm and discharging several rounds that struck Jonathan Joss. After this shocking act, he promptly fled the scene in a vehicle.

Following reports about an ongoing shooting, onlookers described the vehicle belonging to a nearby resident. The officers are said to have quickly apprehended the suspected shooter, who was only a short distance away from the crime scene.

Following his arrest, Alvarez-Cega now faces charges for murder. The court has established a bail amount of $200,000 while authorities interview potential witnesses to establish the basis for the supposed dispute.

Emergency responders, known as paramedics, were summoned to the location as well. They did their best to offer Joss necessary medical attention. However, despite their valiant attempts, they couldn’t prevent what was destined to happen, and tragically, Joss was declared dead at the residence shortly afterward.

It’s still unclear if Jonathan Joss will participate in the upcoming “King of the Hill” revival, but a Reddit user claims they spotted him attending the show’s CCXP panel in Mexico City this past weekend. Reportedly, he briefly interrupted the discussion to address the passing of voice actor Mike Judge’s co-star, Johnny Hardwick, who was replaced by Toby Huss for later episodes as Dale Gribble.

With sincere sympathy, we at TopMob extend our heartfelt thoughts and condolences to the loved ones of Jonathan Joss as they navigate through this difficult period.

More to come…
