As a seasoned gamer and fashion enthusiast with a penchant for unique styles, I must say that the upcoming Gap x Cult Gaia collaboration has piqued my interest! Having grown up in Los Angeles, I’ve always admired the creativity and energy that emanates from our local brands. Cult Gaia’s Ark Bag was a sight to behold on social media, and I’m excited to see what they bring to the table with this collaboration.

Recently, Gap has been experiencing a surge in popularity thanks to viral moments and exciting collaborations. For instance, the white poplin shirtdress designed by Zac Posen, Gap’s creative director, for Anne Hathaway sold out almost instantly. Another example is Gap’s capsule collection with L.A.-based women-owned brand, Dôen, where some styles and sizes are still available for purchase. Now, Gap has joined forces with another L.A.-based women-owned brand, Cult Gaia.
Established in 2012 and created by Jasmin Larian Hekmat, Cult Gaia quickly became popular online, with its Ark Bag becoming an Insta-sensation worn by celebrities like Michelle Williams and Jessica Alba. Although the bamboo tote helped solidify Cult Gaia as a timeless fashion label, it has since expanded its reach into wardrobes of stylish women worldwide.
The collaboration between The Gap and Cult Gaia’s holiday collection, going live online and at selected stores on October 10th (9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET), blends the classic staples of The Gap with the contemporary, sculptural flair of Cult Gaia. This fusion gives rise to a distinctive yet casual collection, showcasing denim, cargo pants, dresses, sweaters, leather sets, stylish tops, and striking coats. Notably, the line also includes sweatshirts and baseball caps embellished with the word “Gaia” in The Gap’s signature arch logo typeface.
Besides offering fashion for women, this collection also includes a variety of children’s clothes with similar designs. You can explore the entire 35-item collection on gap.com starting October 10th. If previous collaborations are any indication, the items might sell out fast.
