As a seasoned gamer and automotive enthusiast, I was absolutely thrilled to witness Lanzante’s breathtaking display at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The sight of those two road-ready Porsche 935s, with their powerful 710 hp engines and racing heritage finishes, left me utterly captivated.
I’ve been an avid car enthusiast for decades, and every year, I eagerly await the Goodwood Festival of Speed to witness the most impressive modified vehicles on display. This year was no exception, as Lanzante outshone many with their road-ready Porsche 935s. Having seen my fair share of high-performance cars throughout my life, I was immediately drawn to these machines.
Making these race cars street-legal involved extensive adjustments. Lanzante upgraded the 935s with a novel suspension system, custom rims, a functional parking brake, and unique headlights that resemble vents. The vehicles’ exteriors pay homage to their racing past: one boasts the iconic Martini livery, while the other flaunts the bold Marlboro colors for hill climbs.
Lanzante’s showcase went beyond just the Porsche 935s. It showcased some standout vehicles such as a McLaren P1 HDK, an upgraded McLaren Speedtail with new bodywork and distinct paint job, and three Gulf-decorated GTR models: the McLaren F1 GTR, P1 GTR, and Senna GTR. Additionally, there was a modern version of the 1980s TAG Turbo Formula 1 car, paying tribute to driver John Watson.
Furthermore, Lanzante presented the TAG Championship, an improved and lighter adaptation of the renowned 911 TAG Turbo. Debuting globally, this model honors Alain Prost through its design reflecting his famous helmet hues.
