Reese Witherspoon is ready to pass the pink baton to a new Elle Woods.
On Thursday, the actress shared on Instagram that Lexi Minetree has been chosen for the role of Elle Woods in the forthcoming ‘Legally Blonde’ prequel series titled ‘Elle’. This show will delve into Woods’ life during her high school days prior to attending Harvard.
The actress recently revealed on Instagram that Lexi Minetree is set to play Elle Woods in the upcoming ‘Legally Blonde’ prequel series, ‘Elle’, which focuses on Woods’ teenage years before she enrolled at Harvard.
I am thrilled to present to you the fresh iteration of Elle Woods! After reviewing numerous impressive auditions for the new Elle prequel series on @PrimeVideo, we have finally discovered our perfect Elle. I had the pleasure of sharing this exciting news myself,” Witherspoon wrote in her post.

Minetree is then showing crying and immediately wanting to call her mom to tell her the news.
Upon hearing Minetree’s mom mention their resemblance in voice, Witherspoon playfully exclaimed, ‘It sounds like we could be twins!’

Reese Witherspoon will oversee the production of the upcoming series through her Hello Sunshine production company. The series’ creator and head writer, Laura Kittrell, is also serving as an executive producer, along with fellow executives from Hello Sunshine – Lauren Neustadter and Lauren Kisilevsky – and Marc Platt, who produced the Legally Blonde films.
