As a fan who has followed Lena Dunham’s exceptional journey from television to filmmaking, I can’t help but be thrilled about her latest project. The creator of “Girls” taking on the script for a feature about FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, based on Michael Lewis’ best-selling book “Going Infinite,” is nothing short of intriguing.
Lena Dunham is working on the script for a feature about FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
Lena Dunham, the mind behind “Girls,” has agreed to pen a film based on Michael Lewis’ top-selling 2023 book titled “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon.” Apple Studios and A24 are currently working on and refining this project, which is still in its initial stages.
Bankman-Fried, who founded the cryptocurrency exchange, was convicted of fraud in November.
Recently, Dunham completed filming for the Netflix romantic comedy series titled “Too Much,“, a project she both penned and guided as director.
She wrote and directed the 2022 films Sharp Stick and Catherine Called Birdy.
Lewis has had several of his non-fiction books adapted into movies. “The Blind Side” (2009), “Moneyball” (2011) and “The Big Short” (2015) are among the films that were derived from his writings.
Dunham is represented by CAA, ID PR and Hansen Jacobson.
More to come.
