Liam Payne Died of Trauma, Internal and External Bleeding, Autopsy Shows

As a gamer with a deep passion for music and a keen interest in celebrity culture, I was utterly shocked and saddened to hear about Liam Payne‘s untimely demise. It’s tragic that someone so young and talented could be taken away so suddenly. The news brought back memories of the days when One Direction ruled the charts and my iPod playlists.

According to reports, Liam Payne, a former member of the band One Direction, passed away from injuries sustained in a fall and severe bleeding, following an autopsy conducted in Buenos Aires after his tragic accidental plunge from a hotel balcony in Argentina’s capital on Wednesday. The local prosecutor has revealed that, as standard procedure, this incident is being treated as a “questionable death” and will be thoroughly investigated.

Liam James Payne passed away at 5:07 p.m. on a Wednesday, following a fall from the balcony of Casa Sur Hotel. His body was moved to the city’s judicial morgue, where forensic experts conducted an autopsy that night. The doctors concluded around midnight that Payne died due to multiple traumatic injuries causing internal and external bleeding, as stated by Argentina’s Prosecutor’s Office No. 14 to The Hollywood Reporter.

A wave of affection and condolences for the British singer swept across social media platforms following the announcement of his demise on Wednesday evening.

According to their official statement, the prosecutor’s office plans to investigate Payne’s death as an “unusual” or “questionable” case, despite indications that he was alone when he fell. They mentioned that the musician was experiencing a crisis related to substance abuse at the time.

Within Payne’s hotel room, substances suspected to be narcotics, alcohol, and damaged items including furniture were found, according to the Mobile Criminalistics Unit of Buenos Aires City Police. The Prosecutor’s Office has pointed out that the identification of these substances as narcotics is yet to be confirmed by forensic experts.

According to the local prosecutor, five people were questioned at the crime scene. Among them were three employees from the hotel who provided statements to the police and two females who had spent time with the musician in his room earlier, but had departed from the hotel before Payne tragically fell to his death.

The prosecutor’s office statement reveals that their investigation not only seeks to understand how the musician died, but also to find out if any other individuals may have played a role in the series of events leading up to the musician’s demise.

Just moments before Payne’s tragic demise at an upscale hotel in Argentina’s Palermo district, the hotel manager phoned emergency services, expressing concern over a guest who was apparently under the influence of both drugs and alcohol, causing damage to items within the room. This account was shared by the prosecutor’s office on Thursday. The Associated Press later obtained and reported the audio recording, revealing that the manager’s tone grew increasingly worried as the conversation progressed, and mentioned that the affected room featured a balcony.

In simpler terms, on Thursday, the prosecution stated that based on where the body was found and the injuries sustained during the fall, it appears that Payne did not instinctively assume a protective pose before falling, suggesting he might have lost consciousness either partially or completely. Previously, Pablo Policicchio, the spokesperson for Buenos Aires Security Ministry, informed The Associated Press that Payne had leapt from his balcony.

The medical experts in Buenos Aires suggested further investigations, including histopathological, biochemical, and toxicological tests. These results might either support or challenge their initial findings.

In their press release on Thursday, the prosecutor’s office asked for an examination of the subject’s stomach contents, blood (for alcohol and toxins), eye fluid (vitreous humor), bile, nasal mucus (swab) and urine, to establish the presence of alcohol and toxins.

In simpler terms, Payne publicly acknowledged his battle against alcoholism and shared on his YouTube channel in July 2023 that he had been abstinent for six months following treatment.
