Lily Gladstone, Sharon Stone Join Marc Maron in Indie Comedy ‘In Memoriam’ (Exclusive)

As a cinephile with a penchant for Oscar-worthy performances and a soft spot for Hollywood tales, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming indie comedy “In Memoriam.” With its impressive ensemble cast featuring the brilliant Lily Gladstone, Sharon Stone, and the inimitable Marc Maron, this film promises to be an unforgettable journey of self-exploration and emotional depth.

Actresses Lily Gladstone and Sharon Stone are set to appear alongside Marc Maron in the independent comedy titled “In Memoriam“, a film centered around the Oscars.

Rob Burnett, a well-known figure in comedy who previously served as both the chief scriptwriter and executive producer for The Late Show with David Letterman, has written the screenplay and is currently overseeing direction for this project, which is currently being filmed in Los Angeles.

The story unfolds around a seasoned Hollywood actor, portrayed by comedian and podcaster Maron, who learns he has terminal cancer. In an attempt to secure a place in the Oscars’ “In Memoriam” segment, he embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery.

Gladstone’s role will be that of an actor’s psychotherapist. Stone, who used to be one of the actor’s former wives and was previously a prominent film actress, will appear in the story.

Judy Greer is already on board as another of the actor’s ex-wives.

Nicholas Weinstock and Divya D’Souza of Invention Studio are collaborating on a popular independent project together with Maron, Burnett, and David Martin from Avalon.

Regarding award ceremonies, it’s worth noting that both Gladstone and Stone have an impressive shared achievement. They were each nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Actress for a Leading Role, and they both won a Golden Globe in the Drama Performance by an Actress category. These accolades were earned for their roles in movies directed by Martin Scorsese; specifically, Gladstone was recognized for her work in Killers of the Flower Moon, while Stone shone in Casino.

Actor Stone is set to join Bob Odenkirk in Universal Picture’s upcoming action thriller titled “Nobody 2”. Meanwhile, Stone will also be featured in Charlie Kaufman’s film adaptation of “The Memory Police”, directed by Reed Morano, as well as a remake of Ang Lee’s 1993 romantic comedy “The Wedding Banquet”, where he will act alongside Bowen Yang.

Stone is represented by the Independent Artist Group and Brecheen Feldman, whereas Gladstone is represented by the Independent Artist Group, Authentic Talent & Literary Management, and McKuin Frankel.
