As a long-time fan of Linda Cardellini‘s versatile acting skills, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see her join the cast of HBO’s upcoming dark comedy series, “DTF St. Louis.” With her exceptional talent and knack for bringing complex characters to life, I have no doubt that she will deliver another remarkable performance alongside Jason Bateman and David Harbour.
HBO‘s dark comedy limited series DTF St. Louis is adding to its cast.
Actress Linda Cardellini is set to appear on the upcoming TV show. The series hails from creator, executive producer, and director Steven Conrad (known for Amazon’s ‘Patriot’). She will share screen time with Jason Bateman and David Harbour in this seven-episode production.
As a fervent admirer, I’d say that the upcoming HBO series, “DTF St. Louis,” revolves around a heartrending tale of a love triangle among three individuals grappling with the challenges of midlife. Intriguingly, one of these characters will meet an untimely end, as hinted by the logline provided. Alas, details about the identities involved in this tragic love triangle, including my character Carol, are shrouded in secrecy at present. The production is currently gearing up for filming.
The series had been under production for over two years before HBO approved it. Initially named “My Dentist’s Murder Trial“, it was inspired by a 2017 article in “The New Yorker” written by James Lasdun. At that point, Kyle Harbour and Pedro Pascal were set to star. However, Pascal eventually left the project, and it has since transformed into an original story that is no longer based on the magazine article.
Conrad serves as the executive producer for “DTF St. Louis,” working alongside Bateman and Michael Costigan from Aggregate Films, Harbour, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch from Escape Artists, Molly Allen, Bruce Terris, and Kristina Wenson of Bravo Axolotl; also, MGM Television joins the production team.
Currently, Alison Brie is featured in the Hulu holiday movie titled “Nutcrackers” and will soon appear in “No Good Deed“, set to debut on Netflix on Dec 12th. Notably, she received two Emmy nominations for her performance in Netflix’s “Dead to Me“; her other recent projects include providing voice-overs for Max’s Creature Commandos, Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+ and A Simple Favor. She is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Shelter, and Jackoway Tyerman.
