Last week marked the beginning of a fresh chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Avengers with the release of “Captain America: A New World Unfolded”. Previously appearing in three Captain America movies as Chris Evans’ Captain America, Anthony Mackie took on the role of Captain America himself in this latest film. Sam Wilson, originally known as the Falcon, faced off against Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross, who was portrayed as Red Hulk in this new installment. Despite the mixed reviews for this superhero film, it’s the intriguing scenes after the credits that have sparked much discussion among viewers.
In the past, Liv Tyler’s character Betty Ross was last seen in the 2008 film “The Incredible Hulk”. With her character having been absent for several decades, some fans found it hard to believe she was actually there for the more recent scenes she appeared in. However, Disney has confirmed that this is indeed the case – Liv Tyler herself was on set, not a body double. This may come as a surprise to some, but all evidence points to this being true.
All Signs Pointed To Liv Tyler Being In ‘Captain America 4’
As a devoted cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but be suspicious about big media giants like Disney, but when it comes to Liv Tyler appearing in the film, the signs were clear from the beginning. After all, she was one of the actors spotted on set, so it’s not too shocking that her scenes made it into the final cut. Even though WWE superstar Seth Rollins’ scenes didn’t make the final movie, if Liv Tyler’s scenes remained, it’s a strong indication that she was indeed part of the cast and wasn’t just a creation of AI or CGI effects.
A strong indication that Tyler is indeed featured in the film can be seen through her attendance at the red carpet event for “Captain America: Brave New World.” Not only did she shine brightly on the red carpet, but she also expressed her deep feelings about being part of the movie, which came more than two decades after her last Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance. During an interview with Extra, Tyler spoke candidly about feeling honored to be considered for a role in the film and shared how significant it was for her children to finally see her on screen.
Social media users found themselves baffled about whether Tyler appeared in the movie at all, and furthermore, they struggled to understand why Marvel would bring her in for such a brief appearance. One user on X commented, “Apparently, they called her for just a minute’s scene.” Another echoed this sentiment, stating, “I mean, it’s Liv Tyler… That’s usually the performance right there.” However, another user thought that Tyler’s cameo was one of the best parts of the film, tweeting, “Liv Tyler was my favorite part in ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ and she was in it for roughly 10 seconds. I mean literally 10.
