Logout star Babil Khan confesses getting addicted to THIS after dad Irrfan Khan’s death: ‘It all happened so suddenly…’

Trigger warning: This article mentions death.

Babil Khan‘s newest movie, Logout, has been creating a stir since its release on Zee 5 starting from April 18th. Lately, he revealed how he found himself in the spotlight following the demise of his father and renowned actor Irrfan Khan. He admitted that the rapid succession of events was so swift that he didn’t fully grasp that he had developed an addiction to the attention.

In an interview with News 18, Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, revealed that he experienced a surge of validation following his father’s passing, as people started following him on social media and showered him with attention. He admitted that this outpouring of love was incredibly addictive. Babil further expressed that he had always yearned for love since his childhood, adding that the suddenness of the situation made him realize he had become hooked on the affection.

The ‘Logout’ character expressed that at that moment, he perceived himself as gradually and compassionately advancing towards recognition. Yet, unbeknownst to him, he began relying on validation and others’ opinions to measure his self-worth. As time passed, life served him valuable lessons.

Babil further shared that such validation further resulted in making him feel quite lonely.

Discussing social media, he mentioned his constant apprehension about posting anything there. He further explained, “I experience a sense of anxiety about potential outcomes, the relentless flow of people’s feedback, and the possibility of being cyberbullied. It can be terrifying, but that doesn’t stop me. I understand that I must venture into the uncertain and unfamiliar.

Babil Khan explained limitations he must adhere to. He stated that revealing too much about himself might hinder his ability to display his creative skills. Yet, he cautioned that if he remains silent out of fear, he risks appearing insincere.

For those not familiar, Irrfan Khan passed away in 2020 following a courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer.
