As a dedicated fan of Lori Loughlin, I am beyond excited to see her making a strong comeback to the small screen. After serving her time and facing the consequences of her actions, it’s refreshing to witness her returning to the world of acting with such a promising project like “On Call.

Lori Loughlin is set to appear in the upcoming streaming series, “On Call,” which is the first scripted production from Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment. This police drama is scheduled for release on Prime Video on January 9, 2025, and expands Wolf’s extensive collection of shows under the “Law & Order,” “Chicago,” and “FBI” banners.

This half-hour show, formerly aired on Amazon Freevee, is characterized as an intense and physically engaging police drama. It features Troian Bellisario from “Pretty Little Liars,” Brandon Larracuente of “The Good Doctor,” Eriq La Salle known for his roles in “ER” and “Logan,” Rich Ting from “Tulsa King,” as well as Loughlin.

In these initial shots (both upper and lower), Loughlin’s character, Lieutenant Bishop, makes his appearance, accompanied by Bellisario’s Traci Harmon, a seasoned but protective officer within the department who is wrestling to find her footing while mentoring the upcoming officers. Moreover, we are introduced to Larracuente’s Alex Diaz, a driven rookie who battles to maintain his hopeful perspective in light of the difficulties he encounters as he confronts today’s complexities. Lastly, La Salle’s Sergeant Lasman and Ting’s Sergeant Koyama also make their appearances.

Actress Loughlin, who previously starred in “Full House” and “Fuller House,” was discharged from prison in December 2020 following nearly two months of her sentence related to the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal. Since then, she has resumed her acting career by reprising her role in the GAC Family series “When Hope Calls” and a couple of holiday movies on cable. More recently, she made a guest appearance in the final season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” where she playfully joked about herself and hinted at a larger Hollywood return. Now, her first recurring role outside the GAC network can be seen in “On Call.

Speaking about Loughlin poking fun at herself on “Curb”, executive producer Jeff Schaffer commented, “It’s wonderful to laugh at your own misfortunes. It’s a fantastic way to move past the past. I wish it boosts her career. She was fantastic, and she should get more roles. She was hilarious and a joy to work with. I hope people realize, ‘She’s really funny. She’s great in this.’ So yes, I hope she gets more opportunities as she truly deserves them.

Back in the beginning of this year, I finally decided to speak out about my role in the college admissions scandal. It’s been tough, no doubt – each day brings new challenges. But, as the old saying goes, “I get knocked down, but I get up again.” Life isn’t supposed to be a walk in the park; we all stumble now and then. Yet, what truly matters is keeping on going.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that “On Call” is a creation jointly brought to life by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf. La Salle, who was once an Executive Producer and Director on Chicago P.D., takes on the role of Executive Producer and Director in this series. Dick Wolf, known for his work on Chicago P.D., Hightown, Night Stalker, is involved, as well as Elliot Wolf from Dark Woods and Hunted. Peter Jankowski also joins them as an executive producer. This thrilling series is produced by Universal TV and Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Wolf Entertainment.
