Loro Piana Taps Dimoremilano for a Cinematic Take on Interior Design

At Milan Design Week 2025, high-end Italian brand Loro Piana teams up with Dimoremilano for the first time to debut “The First Night of Tranquility”, an engaging installation that seamlessly merges filmic enchantment with interior decoration.

The adventure commences in a vintage-inspired cinema foyer, adorned with rich red velvet, leopard-print carpets, and gleaming brass details. This nostalgic atmosphere paves the way for a tour through a dwelling reminiscent of ’70s and ’80s decor. Each space – bedroom, dining room, bathroom, garden, and others – is softly illuminated to showcase an appealing mix of vintage allure and contemporary elegance.

Each item is carefully chosen with great care. Antique masterpieces are placed alongside modern artworks from Dimoremilano, both adorned in textiles from Loro Piana Interiors. The use of materials like cashmere, wool, velvet, and sisal creates a calming, multi-sensory atmosphere across the entire area.

This new furniture line showcases captivating, fresh additions like the Valsesia dining table with its sculptural design, Quarona poufs, and gallery-style Locarno cabinets. Other standout pieces, such as the Varallo bed and Trivero armchairs, offer both comfort and subtle elegance. Iconic sofas from Dimoremilano, like the Snooker and Corner models, are revamped using Loro Piana’s premium textiles.

Nicola Guiducci’s sound design adds depth, incorporating gentle background tones such as piano melodies, drizzling rain, and a distant telephone ring, which enhances the sense of immersion. This creates a movie-like environment that feels personal, lived-in, and subtly poetic.

The First Night of Tranquility remains open for public viewing until the 13th of April. Visitors are encouraged to book their preferred time through Loro Piana’s reservation system.
