As a lifelong fan of both Sonic the Hedgehog and contemporary art, I am absolutely thrilled about the Louis De Guzman x Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration! Growing up with Sonic’s speedy adventures and later discovering De Guzman’s distinctive geometric style has been a perfect blend of my childhood nostalgia and artistic appreciation.
Filipino-American artist Louis De Guzman has partnered with SEGA to honor Sonic the Hedgehog through a creative alliance. His distinctive artistic flair is blended with the lively dynamism of Sonic and Shadow, resulting in a special collection that appeals to gamers and art connoisseurs alike.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that this collection is packed with a bunch of cool stuff for us gamers! You’ll find everything from T-shirts and sweatshirts, kid’s clothing, a lunchbox, to some amazing collectibles like limited-edition fine art screen prints and sculptures.
To officially kick things off, we’ll host a temporary retail/gallery event in Chicago from December 10 – 17, 2024, located at 3477 S Archer Avenue. This special occasion offers a one-of-a-kind, engaging experience that honors the enduring legacy and thrill of Sonic the Hedgehog, showcasing art and merchandise dedicated to this iconic character.
Take a look at some items from the gallery up there. Prices vary from $28 to $485 USD. The collaboration between Louis De Guzman and Sonic the Hedgehog will be available through the artist’s official website on December 20, starting at 12 p.m. CST.
