As a gamer with a penchant for luxury and a soft spot for all things Louis Vuitton, I must say this latest announcement has me quite excited! Dinnerware might not be the first thing that comes to mind when I think of LV, but their new permanent collection is making me reconsider my dining table game.
At Louis Vuitton, it’s now time for a meal as the renowned French fashion house has broadened its product line, presenting its inaugural tableware collection at an exclusive charity event held at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. As reported by WWD, the brand introduced two fresh lines of cutlery and glassware alongside their dinnerware offerings.
Over the weekend, Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, organized an event supporting International Friends of Vaux-le-Vicomte. Attendees included architect Peter Marino, film producer Christine Schwarzman, and La Comtesse Patrice de Vogüé. Last year, Louis Vuitton experimented with a seasonal tableware collection for their resort stores, restaurants, and cafés. This time, however, they are preparing to delve deeper into the world of dinnerware collections.
Entitled “Constellation and Splendor”, these collections encompass entire sets of porcelain, cutlery, glasses, pitchers, and decanters. As stated by the brand, these items are designed for various life experiences, ranging from ordinary meals to momentous occasions. The design incorporates the graphic motif of Monogram flowers on delicate porcelain and glass, as well as the herringbone pattern on gleaming silver or the LV emblem elegantly embossed in fine gold, thereby merging the brand’s heritage with its contemporary style.
13 items from the Limoges porcelain collection called Constellation, creatively interpret the Monogram symbols. In contrast, Splendor showcases 17 pieces with a fun twist on the “L” and “V” logos. The Rivet cutlery line includes 14 stainless steel pieces, characterized by their tube-like design. The silver-plated Rivet Épi range is unique due to its handle designs inspired by sunlit wheat fields. Louis Vuitton’s glassware selection features twist glasses and Flower carafes made of four different Murano glass hues. The Constellation and Rivet collections are set to hit LV boutique stores on October 31, while Splendor and Rivet Épi will be available from November 14.
