As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent virtually traversing the urban landscapes of Grand Theft Auto and Cyberpunk, I can confidently say that Luka Sabbat’s Marking Distance collection feels like stepping straight off the screen and into the streets. The raw energy, grit, and style oozing from this debut collection is a testament to Sabbat’s real-world streetwear expertise, honed over years of navigating the virtual cityscapes that have become my second home.
As a gamer, I’m super excited about stepping into the fashion world with Luka Sabbat, one of streetwear’s leading trendsetters. Together with designer James Pierce, we’ve just unveiled our new label, Marking Distance, which has debuted its first full collection for Spring/Summer 2024. This collection is all about redefining classic American style, giving it a fresh twist through unique designs that play with familiar codes, shapes, and symbols. It’s like stepping into the gaming world, but this time, it’s fashion!

A captivating assortment of clothing, Sabbat and Piece focus on frayed denim trends and essential leather accessories, embellishing American flag motifs onto vests, jackets, and even adding a worn-out flag patch to a pair of jeans through handcrafting methods.
In a unique blend, the “Tommy Jeans” bring together the primary fabrics of this line, pairing light-washed denim trousers with overlapping leather chaps.

In this collection, college-inspired styles take center stage, showcasing themselves in roomy hoodies, sweaters decorated with leather accents, cheerleader tops, and even a Notre Dame bomber jacket. Both leather items and loungewear are given an upscale touch through the use of chain detailing.
One noteworthy item is the “Orthodox Suit,” distinguished by its unique pinstripe design, with the backside showcasing a creatively redesigned cross symbol elegantly embroidered.
