Luke Skywalker’s Galaxy’s Edge Debut Draws Unbelievable Crowds, Viral Video Shows It All

For devoted Star Wars enthusiasts, Galaxy’s Edge is an ideal theme park destination, and it has become even more enticing. Amid anticipation for upcoming Star Wars films and projects, there’s exciting news: Luke Skywalker will be joining the scene at this famous location. Initially, I had questions about how impactful Skywalker might be when he arrives. However, after witnessing a viral video showcasing the enormous crowd that welcomed him, my doubts have been put to rest.

Surprisingly, the promotional video from Disney Parks showcased an actor who bore a closer resemblance to Kylo Ren rather than one of Star Wars’ most powerful Jedi, Luke Skywalker. Conversely, the video shared by @thecalibae on X features an actor who appears to match Mark Hamill, known for his portrayal of Luke, in terms of physical appearance. The clip depicts Luke strolling through the park with R2-D2, surrounded by a crowd of spectators. Be sure to take a look at the post, as it’s leaving me quite impressed: [Link provided here]

Wow, if that’s not a demonstration of Luke’s enduring appeal as a character, I’m at a loss for what would be. As the most recent Star Wars figure to appear in the park, Luke will remain visible during Disneyland’s “Seasons Of The Force” event, which has just begun and runs until May 11th. This event includes a special projection show on the towering spires within the park, as well as providing an opportunity to see the character who arguably reached his zenith when he destroyed the Death Star.

For those missing the magic of Disney parks, a Disney+ subscription offers an excellent alternative! Enjoy family-friendly entertainment from as little as $9.99 per month with their new ad-supported plan. Upgrade to an ad-free experience for $15.99 or save 16% by pre-paying $159.99 annually – that’s a year of uninterrupted Disney fun! Check it out now!

In contrast to Luke Skywalker’s exploits in Star Wars, it’s astonishing to observe the character strolling through Galaxy’s Edge, much like visitors might spot Rey, Kylo Ren, or fresh characters from the series. I had my doubts about attendance, but it’s heartening to see so many people eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of Luke. If someone had told me 20 years ago that I’d one day witness Luke walking around a Star Wars theme park, I wouldn’t have believed them. It feels almost unreal that this is actually happening.

Apart from acknowledging one of the most impressive Star Wars characters, I must also highlight how fantastic the projection show is. A recording of that performance is circulating online, but I’m disappointed I can’t visit Galaxy’s Edge anytime soon to experience it firsthand.

This spectacle is truly awe-inspiring, and I sincerely hope Star Wars enthusiasts attending Disney World also get the opportunity to witness it. Frankly, with the addition of this event and everything happening at Avengers Campus, Disneyland seems to be calling my name more than ever. However, I must remember that if I decide to go, I might encounter large crowds once there.

At present, you can explore Luke Skywalker’s numerous adventures and showcases across the Star Wars universe by streaming the assorted movies and series on Disney+. As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming project from the franchise, a trip to Galaxy’s Edge might help alleviate my excitement – even if it means dealing with the hustle and bustle of crowds.
