M. Night Shyamalan creates his films under the Blinding Edge Pictures label, a production house with a long-term, first-look agreement with Warner Bros. He rose to fame as a prominent filmmaker after directing Disney’s “The Sixth Sense” in 1999, a Bruce Willis movie that boasts one of the most well-known plot twists in cinema and earned him nominations for both best screenplay and best director at the Oscars

The inspiration for Caddo Lake came after filmmakers Held and George stumbled upon a photograph of the real Caddo Lake online. This discovery led to numerous visits to the cypress forest that borders Texas and Louisiana before the movie shooting in late 2021 and 2022, near Karnak, Texas
