As a huge fan of the M3GAN franchise, I couldn’t be more excited that filming for M3GAN 2.0 has officially begun! Having been captivated by the original 2022 horror film and its chilling exploration of the dangers of artificial intelligence, I’ve eagerly awaited any news regarding a sequel.
The highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s horror hit “M3GAN,” titled “M3GAN 2.0,” has commenced filming. Akela Cooper and Gerard Johnstone, the creative team behind the 2022 movie, will return for the sequel following their collaboration on the production spearheaded by Jason Blum through Blumhouse Productions. Regrettably, fans of the franchise may have to be patient a tad longer than initially anticipated before getting their hands on the next installment.
Blum personally announced that progress is being made on the sequel, as filming begins in New Zealand for the latest installment of the infamous series of evil dolls.
I was looking forward to seeing M3GAN’s return to the big screen in January 2025, but it seems that her release has been delayed. According to Deadline, I’ll get to see M3GAN 2.0 in action on June 27, 2025 instead. Some familiar faces will be back for this new adventure, including Allison Williams and Violet McGraw as Gemma and Cady, respectively. Brian Jordan Alvarez will reprise his role as Cole, and Jenna Davis will once again lend her eerie voice to M3GAN. New additions to the cast include Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement. I can’t wait to see how these new actors will bring their unique talents to the table in this sequel!
