This week, the late Mac Miller is seeing a posthumous success as his album “Balloonerism” debuts at the third spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
In its debut week, the latest posthumous album of the deceased artist, originally recorded in 2014, amassed a total of 81,000 equivalent album units. This figure comprises 41,000 physical albums sold (ranking No. 1 on Top Album Sales), 40,000 streaming equivalent album units from 51.6 million on-demand streams of the tracks, and the rest from track equivalent album units. The new release titled “Balloonerism” represents Miller’s eighth top 10 album after “Faces,” “Circles Swimming,” “The Divine Feminine,” “GO:OD AM,” “Watching Movies With the Sound Off,” and “Blue Slide Park.
In other parts of the chart, Bad Bunny maintains his position at the top for a second week. Following closely, SZA climbs up to the second spot. Kendrick Lamar stays put in the fourth position. Interestingly, Gracie Abrams experiences a significant leap, moving into the fifth position. Completing this week’s top 10 are Sabrina Carpenter, Lil Baby, Morgan Wallen, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift, respectively, starting from the sixth spot.
