- Magic Chess: Go Go is an upcoming spin-off game from Moonton’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
- It’ll see you take on 5v5 auto-battles between well-known characters from the game
- It’s not unlike the League of Legends spin-off Teamfight Tactics
As a seasoned gamer with years of MOBA battles under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of heroes, to the evolution of games themselves. Now, here comes another twist in the MOBA world: Magic Chess: Go Go.
Although Mobile Legends: Bang Bang by Moonton might not reach the monumental influence of games such as Honor of Kings (Tencent) or League of Legends, it maintains its unique appeal, and it appears the developer is planning to leverage this popularity with a fresh take titled Magic Chess: Go Go.
Due on December 31st, contrary to its name, Magic Chess: Go Go isn’t a traditional chess game. Instead, it shares similarities with Teamfight Tactics and Auto Chess. It’s an auto-battler where you gather a team from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang heroes and characters. The aim is to create the most effective synergy among your team members for victory during battle. Comprised of several stages, the core strategy revolves around planning and predicting your opponent’s moves.
In contrast, Magic Chess introduces some intricacies to its gameplay formula. Notably, the 10 vs 10 mode seems to be a significant aspect, in addition to the conventional 5 vs 5 format. For those accustomed to the auto-battling format, there won’t be many unexpected elements. Pre-registration for Magic Chess: Go Go is now available on its official website.
Check and mate
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got to confess, the auto-battler format isn’t quite my cup of tea. I’ve always craved that intricate, real-time strategy where every second matters, or at least having more direct control over my troops and heroes. But it appears that in today’s MOBAs, an auto-chess twist seems to be the norm, so it wasn’t surprising when Moonton jumped on the bandwagon too.
While the scene may have changed a bit, our evergreen article comparing three of the top auto chess games out there to see which is best is still available! So take a gander and find out what we thought took the gold between Auto Chess, Dota Underlords and Chess Rush!
