Mama Donna Kelce Won't Be In Just One Hallmark Movie This Year. As A Christmas Movie Fan, I Am Pumped

As a dedicated Hallmark fan with a soft spot for heartwarming holiday movies, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see Donna Kelce gracing not one but two upcoming TV movies this season! With her NFL superstar sons making waves outside of football, it seems Mama Kelce is determined to steal the show herself.

As the autumn season approaches its climax, Christmas movies and TV specials are poised to sweep through the television schedule like a snowy avalanche. Household names such as Lacey Chabert and Bethany Joy Lenz will undoubtedly grace our screens once more. Notably, Hallmark’s upcoming movie lineup is brimming with holiday-themed, heartwarming stories that are as plump as a festive turkey. Moreover, the rising pop culture queen, Donna Kelce, has been confirmed to appear in not one, but two of these movies (for now).

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but marvel at the ever-growing success of Travis Kelce, NFL superstar and my beloved son. It’s not just his prowess on the field that’s catching attention; he’s branching out with new ventures outside professional football. For instance, he’ll be hosting “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” and starring in a Ryan Murphy horror series. But Mama Kelce isn’t content to rest on her laurels – she’s got more up her sleeves! Here’s the latest scoop on her upcoming Hallmark projects.

Movie #1: Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

Announced back in June 2024, roughly four months following Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs winning their second Super Bowl in a row, the upcoming movie titled Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story will center around a romantic tale with football-related themes in Kansas City. To clarify, this movie won’t be a dramatization of Kelce’s well-publicized relationship with Taylor Swift; instead, it will follow an entirely fictional couple.

The movie features Hunter King as Alana, an enthusiastic supporter of the Chiefs, surrounded by fellow fans in her family. She aims to win “Fan of the Year,” a title supervised by Derrick, played by Tyler Hines. However, complications arise when Alana’s grandfather misplaces his lucky hat, causing Alana to almost lose her holiday spirit.

Instead of suiting up to play myself this time around, I’ve stepped into the shoes of a barbecue restaurant manager, undoubtedly with my fair share of opinions about the home team. As for my character’s name, it remains to be seen, but let’s hope for an intriguing wink to my real-life persona!

The movie will showcase the presence of Andy Reid, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, along with several real NFL players such as Mecole Hardman, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Trey Smith, and George Karlaftis. Additionally, Jenna Bush Hager, Diedrich Bader, Patrick Mahomes, and others will make appearances in it too.

Movie #2: Christmas On Call

Previously, the Hallmark project mentioned earlier was disclosed during the summer months. However, we’ve only recently uncovered details about Mama Kelce’s upcoming venture into Hallmark holiday productions. Given that the first film strongly focuses on Kansas City, it’s fitting that her subsequent appearance in a new production will be in a Philadelphia-set feature.

Under the title “Christmas on Call“, this movie finds Ser’Darius Blain, who plays Will Trent, portraying an EMT and diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. In the story, he assists a new ER doctor named Hannah (Sara Canning) as she adjusts to city life. Much like her character’s food-focused role in “Holiday Touchdown“, Kelce’s appearance occurs in a cheesesteak shop, where his character, adorned in an Eagles jersey, encourages Hannah to try the sandwich “with cheese and onions.

Besides acknowledging the diligent First Responders in Philadelphia during Christmas, “Christmas on Call” is also set to showcase another performance by the Kelce family. This project includes a rendition of “Santa Drives an Astrovan,” performed by The Philly Specials – a band comprised of Eagles players Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, and the recently retired Jason Kelce, along with Mt. Joy. The song is part of a charitable initiative for the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Profits from the upcoming album release A Philly Special Christmas Party will be donated to these organizations.

It’s unclear yet if Mama Kelce plans to contribute her singing talents to the upcoming album, or if she’ll continue focusing on Hallmark films at this point in time.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly anticipating additional exciting updates from Hallmark’s annual holiday collection! Meanwhile, my other eye will be on the lookout for any news regarding Lacey Chabert’s upcoming non-Hallmark Christmas film.
