Coming from someone who has witnessed countless BMW customizations by this renowned tuner, it’s refreshing to see them extend their expertise to a Toyota. The collaboration between these two automotive powerhouses seems like a match made in heaven, especially given the shared DNA of the Supra GR and BMW.
Manhart recently revealed their new venture, the Supra GR 550 model. Although Toyota might not initially spring to mind as a partner for Manhart, who are mainly recognized for their BMW modifications, this collaboration isn’t so unusual when you consider the facts. The Toyota GR Supra and BMW share a considerable portion of their genetic makeup, particularly in terms of their engine, which makes it a suitable match for Manhart’s tuning skills.
In my perspective as a dedicated fan, the heart of the Supra GR 550 lies with the BMW B58 engine that’s been thoroughly revamped. To keep this powerhouse running smoothly yet powerfully, it’s equipped with an in-house turbo enhancement kit. This includes a turbo upgrade, a MANHART radiator system boasting aluminum charge pipes by Wagner Tuning, and a MANHART carbon air intake by ARMAspeed. These modifications ensure the engine stays cool while feeding it a generous supply of oxygen-rich air. The outcome? An impressive 550 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque – quite the leap from its standard 340 hp and 368 lb-ft!
As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but share the amazing upgrades on my new Supra GR 550! It now roars with an exhilarating sound thanks to the MANHART stainless steel exhaust system by FI Exhaust, complete with valve control and four black 100 mm tailpipes. The visual transformation is stunning too! My car is rolling on MANHART’s Concave One rims, complemented by a lowered suspension thanks to MANHART’s collaboration with H&R and KW. To top it off, the aggressive look is accentuated by a comprehensive carbon body kit – featuring a front spoiler, rear wing, and striking red accents against its pristine white body. Absolutely love it!
