Manta Network launches 4-year Gas Gain program

As a seasoned researcher with a knack for blockchain technology and a soft spot for user-friendly platforms, I must say that Manta Network’s Gas Gain program strikes me as a promising development. The idea of sharing gas rewards with active users is not only innovative but also aligns well with the decentralized ethos of Web3.

Manta Network unveiled a four-year initiative, under which the customizable blockchain designed for zero-knowledge apps will distribute gas incentives to its user community.

September 30th marked the unveiling of Manta Network’s “Gas Reward” scheme, designed to distribute 50% of gas fees as MANTA tokens to their web3 user base.

For the upcoming four years, a portion equivalent to half of the gas earnings from Manta Pacific will be distributed among its most engaged community participants. Manta Pacific is a platform similar to an Ethereum (ETH) virtual machine, but it utilizes the Celestia DA and Polygon zkEVM technology.

Users to accumulate points to earn rewards

In order to qualify, Manta users need to rank within the top 400, based on the highest accumulated points over a span of two months.

Users will accrue points through their involvement across the system as well as by possessing MANTA tokens. Potential decentralized platforms for user engagement range from financial solutions (DeFi), unique digital assets like Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), to gaming environments.

Contributors who stand out within our system will reap rewards too, this includes individuals who own Golden Shovel NFTs or are currently engaged in initiatives like restaking and Manta CeDeFi’s programs.

10 million MANTA allocation

Every two months, the team distributes half of the collected gas fees from the protocols to eligible users at the close of each period. The distribution is based on both on-chain activity and predefined criteria.

For the following four years, the project is set to proceed with a 10 million MANTA boost from the Manta Foundation, which represents 1% of the entire Manta supply.

In January 2024, the MANTA token made its debut on various exchanges, and Binance included it in their 44th Launchpool initiative.
