Marc Jacobs Reunites With Futura for 40th-Anniversary Collaboration

As a fashion enthusiast with a penchant for the eclectic and bold, I’ve been utterly captivated by Marc Jacobs‘ 40th-anniversary collaborations. Each partnership feels like a masterful blend of timeless design and contemporary artistry, and the latest collaboration with Futura is no exception.

Marc Jacobs’ 40th anniversary collaborations have been nothing less than outstanding. The renowned American designer has partnered with creative minds such as NIGO, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Stephen Sprouse, Anna Sui, among others, to redefine, revitalize, and replenish his label’s most sought-after items. Additionally, he plans to unveil exclusive designs in collaboration with Pharrell, Tremaine Emory, Sofia Coppola, Takashi Murakami, and more as part of the celebration

Today, designer Jacobs has announced a fresh collaboration with artist Futura, whom he previously teamed up with for a 2022 project supporting Free Arts NYC, an organization that uplifts youth from underprivileged areas. This dynamic duo has produced a unique collection, featuring refreshed versions of Jacobs’ signature items such as The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, unisex denims, hoodies, sweaters, T-shirts, and jewelry, all adorned with designs inspired by Futura’s iconic artwork

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over this extraordinary collection that’s brimming with impactful statements. The campaign for it is nothing short of stellar, featuring none other than the renowned J Balvin, Paloma Elsesser, and the legendary Futura himself! This visual masterpiece was captured by Renell Medrano and curated by Milton Dixon III

On September 6, the eighth installment of Marc Jacobs’ year-long collaboration series with friends and partners, known as the Futura x Marc Jacobs collection, officially goes live. To mark this occasion, special pop-up stores will be opened in New York, London, Beijing, and Japan for this limited edition line. Simultaneously, The Bronx Museum will unveil the largest exhibition of Futura’s work, titled “FUTURA 2000: BREAKING OUT“, on September 8
