Marc Maron raged against comedy podcasters like Joe Rogan last year.
Why did this happen? Comedians like Rogan and Andrew Schulz spoke with presidential candidate Donald Trump, but when they invited Vice President Kamala Harris onto their programs, she chose not to accept.
Maron’s rationale? He used the Democrat’s boilerplate “fascist,” “white nationalist” rhetoric against Trump without the facts to back it up.
That’s because the facts don’t back him up. Truth be told, Trump remains the worst Hitler ever.
Currently, the host of “WTF Podcast” is critiquing another comedian, who happens to be a fellow liberal this time around.
No, Bill Maher didn’t invite President Trump on either “Club Random” or his HBO “Real Time” showcase. Maher did the unthinkable.
In response to certain aspects of President Trump’s plan, Maron expressed agreement. This earned him the nickname “b” from Maher.
Maron stated, ‘Will you take after Bill Maher, saying something like ‘I’ll agree with certain actions of Trump,’?” He continued, “‘Dude, you’re just being foolish.’
Per The Daily Beast: “[Maron] host continued to make fun of Maher for finding points of connection with members of the MAGA coalition, imitating him as he added, “”I like Kid Rock.” And now you’re gonna b him with a slightly disdainful look on your face? That’s who you are?”
When they go low …
Maher recently applauded President Trump for planning to abolish the Department of Education. Maher argued that the department’s track record is spotty enough to merit its extinction. Test scores keep cratering no matter how much money is spent on children’s education.
Is it necessary to discuss the impact of the Department of Education on hindering students’ academic progress during the pandemic?
“It’s not like the kids are getting smarter … I mean, the numbers keep getting worse and worse and worse. And I don’t know if the Department of Education … I don’t know what it does, except take money. It’s sort of a middleman.”
Maher also supported President Trump for protecting female athletes from having to compete against trans women. And, chances, are, he applauded when Team Trump aggressively pursued illegal immigrants with notorious criminal records.
Think rapists and murderers. Who wouldn’t approve, except Selena Gomez?
By Maron’s warped logic, we’re not supposed to support anything Trump does. Here’s guessing he threw his TV remote at the screen as President Trump honored a 13-year-old boy who survived brain cancer.
And Maron wasn’t alone.
Democrats refused to clap or stand for this little boy battling cancer.

Yes, you can disagree with Trump’s policies. That’s how America’s political process works. Maher has spent the last eight-plus years doing just that regarding Trump.
Trump has been criticized by many, but perhaps no one as consistently as Maher. However, we can find common ground with the opposing side on certain issues every once in a while.
If President Joe Biden ordered a successful strike on a terrorist compound, most sane citizens would cheer him on.
Here’s the bigger question Maron’s inflammatory rhetoric poses.
Maher happily invites conservatives on his shows to debate the issues of the day. We can’t hate our fellow Americans just because we don’t agree on political matters, he argues.
And he’s right.
It’s why Maher has interviewed conservative musician Kid Rock on his “Club Random” podcast. Twice.
Could Maron act similarly? Is he capable of presenting a compelling argument to challenge someone holding a perspective different from his own?
Maher is confident enough in his rhetorical skills to do just that.
Instead, could it be that Maron prefers to label his ideological adversaries as “fascists” and “white supremacists,” while choosing not to engage with them face-to-face?
