Margaret Qualley Says Husband Jack Antonoff “Lied” to Adam Sandler to Get Her ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Role

As a devoted fan of Hollywood and its intriguing tales, I must say that Margaret Qualley‘s journey to land her role in “Happy Gilmore 2” is nothing short of extraordinary! It’s not every day that we see our favorite stars confessing their childhood crushes and then actually getting the chance to act alongside them.

Margaret Qualley expressed that she could find contentment and peace now, following her acquisition of a role in “Happy Gilmore 2”. Interestingly, her spouse Jack Antonoff had to subtly conceal some details about her golfing background to aid in securing this opportunity for her.

On a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actress declared that the 1996 comedy featuring Adam Sandler as her all-time favorite film and admitted he was her first crush. Upon hearing about Netflix’s upcoming sequel, she became absolutely committed to finding a way to be part of it.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard about the upcoming “Happy Gilmore 2”. In an instant, I reached out to my agents and exclaimed, “Whatever it takes – no role is too insignificant. I must be involved in this project! I beg you, please. I’m pleading with all my heart. Make it happen for me!

Jimmy Fallon subsequently displayed a text exchange between Antonoff and Sandler, where the ‘Murder Mystery 2’ actor inquired, “Does your wife ever play golf?”, to which the lead singer of Bleachers responded affirmatively, stating, “Yes, she’s quite skilled.

However, that wasn’t necessarily the truth.

Qualley confessed that he’s not skilled at golfing and never has been. However, his husband is exceptional, even though he fibbed occasionally to keep our family together.

The Substance actress noted that she “took some lessons, but mostly, I’m still bad.”

Qualley expressed her gratitude for landing the role in “Happy Gilmore 2“, stating it as “the most incredible experience of my career”, despite it being only a “minor part”. She further mentioned, “I’m mainly working behind-the-scenes, but I can now pass away contented knowing I was part of this project.

The film directed by Kyle Newacheck has recently started filming in New Jersey. This movie brings back Adam Sandler, along with Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald who are reprising their characters from the original for this sequel. Additionally, Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny have been confirmed to make guest appearances.
